Michelin North America Inc. announced today it has signed a licensing agreement with Coker Tire Co. to develop and distribute a line of Michelin-licensed merchandise.

Coker Tire will produce a wide variety of Michelin-branded aftermarket products, such as garage accessories, apparel, personal accessories, high-end memorabilia and collectibles, for Michelin Lifestyle Limited, which is responsible for Michelin’s worldwide consumer goods licensing business. They will be sold through Coker Tire’s North American catalog operations and online store at www.coker.com.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Coker Tire, and we are looking forward to working closely with Michelin to develop, design and market quality items for auto enthusiasts, hobbyists, and collectors that can augment their automotive lifestyle,” said Corky Coker, president of Coker Tire.

“At Coker Tire, our first priority is always customer satisfaction, so consumers can be assured that all of the new products produced under this agreement will have our highest attention to quality and detail.”

“Michelin has an impressive heritage spanning more than 100 years and an extensive archive with a wealth of interesting and appealing imagery and artifacts,” said Chris Dawes, managing director, Michelin Lifestyle Limited. “We look forward to working closely with Coker Tire to promote our heritage and culture through this new range.”

The first products available will be durable canvas, multi-purpose Michelin Grand Tour Travel Pouches ($18.59), European-style Travel Bags ($32.95), an 11-piece Vintage Bibendum Metal Sign Collection that reflects distinctive Michelin advertising logos of the past 100 years ($29.95 to $89.95), and a series of six classic Michelin posters depicting the Michelin Man from the early 1900s ($39.95 each).

Other products planned in the near future include postcards, figurines, die-cast models and ceramic products.
