Michelin North America Inc. is introducing 13 new sizes in its Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country tire line. That will bring the total number of sizes to 27.

According to Michelin, the new sizes provide dealers with "a high-margin product that fits 90% of P-metric sizes for today's most popular SUVs and pick-ups."

The sizes will be rolled out in two waves. Eight new sizes will be available to consumers in April: P205/75R15, P265/75R15, P255/75/R15, P225/75R16/XL, P215/70R16, P225/70R16, LT265/75R16/E and LT285/75R16/D.

Five additional sizes will be available early this summer: P235/75R15/XL, LT235/75R15/C, 30X9.50R15/C, 31X10.50R15/C and LT245/75R16/E.

The Laredo Cross Country tire was introduced in 2003. It features a 60,000-mile limited tread wear warranty, and is designed to fit the majority of today's most popular SUVs and light trucks, including the Ford Expedition, Explorer, Escape and F150/250; Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, Blazer, Trailblazer and Silverado; GMC Yukon, Envoy and Sierra; Cadillac Escalade; Jeep Cherokee; Honda Passport; Nissan Pathfinder; and Toyota 4Runner.
