Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is so confident in its new DuraSeal truck tire technology that it's offering a $50 money-back guarantee on products that contain the sealant.
The deal further offers $25 for a tire's first retread, "with the promise that punctures up to 1/4-inch in diameter in the tread area will seal," according to Goodyear officials. Sidewall punctures are not covered.
DuraSeal technology initially will be available in Goodyear's new Unisteel G287 MSA and G288 MSA mixed-service truck tires and may extend to other applications.
