California law firm Lisoni & Lisoni's most recent attempt to bring a class action lawsuit against Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT) has been shot down in court.
Last September, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) shot down two petitions from Lisoni & Lisoni that asked the agency to investigate all Firestone Steeltex tires made since 1995 for defects.
"As the court already pointed out after Lisoni's last failed attempt, (the law firm) did not present any adequate evidence to support class action certification," say BFNT officials.
BFNT maintains that "the huge population of Steeltex tires are performing well on the road. NHTSA has three times reviewed these tires and clearly stated it found no evidence of defect."
