Vredestein Tires North America is now known as Vredestein Tyres North America Inc.
Vredestein incorporated earlier this month, company officials told moderntiredealer.com yesterday at a ride-and-drive for its recently introduced Wintrac Xtreme winter tire near Montreal, Quebec.
"We want to expand" in North America, says Marc Luyten, Vredestein Banden's director of marketing and sales. (Vredestein Banden is the Netherlands-based parent company of Vredestein Tyres North America Inc.)
"We now have two people in the market" -- Vredestein Tyres North America President Al Smoke and Market Development Manager Michiel Kramer.
"We used to have one for many years, but one (person) is not enough."
Luyten says Vredestein had a record year in 2004.
