Kenda introduces touring radial

Nov. 27, 2002

American Kenda Rubber Ind. Co. Ltd. is branching out. At the recent International Tire Expo (ITE) in Las Vegas, Nev., the company displayed its new Four Seasons M+S radial.

In the past, Kenda was known in the United States for its extensive specialty tire line.

"If we wanted to grow, we knew we had to get into radials," said Hank Chang, manager of marketing and product development. Kenda’s parent company will start producing the new touring tire in S-, T- and H-rated sizes in early spring.

The passenger radials Kenda previewed at the 2001 ITE, the Kruiser (seven sizes) and Komet (18 sizes), are available now. More passenger sizes are on their way, says Chang.

Kenda's Klever A/P LT radial also is newly available. The line is made up of seven sizes with various ply ratings.
