Tyrexpo India 2011 scheduled for July

Dec. 14, 2010

The first staging of Tyrexpo India will be held next July 5-7 at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, India.

The new tire and equipment exhibition will offer the country’s domestic manufacturers and suppliers the prospect of global exposure for their products and services, say show organizers ECI International.

“Tyrexpo India is a new concept for India, but it is well-established in other major tire and equipment markets including the UK, Singapore and South Africa,” says Paul Farrant, managing director of ECI International. The Tyrexpo model brings together dedicated tire industry professionals eager to trade internationally for a concentrated three-day event that provides a highly professional environment for doing business, the organizers note.

“Our events are trade-only and focus on delivering business opportunities for exhibitors and visitors. They have a 20-year track record of providing international platforms for tire businesses to expand and develop new networks,” says Farrant.

“As our industry continues to expand rapidly with predicted 9% GDP growth and double digit volume growth in the tire Industry for the second successive year, the timing for Tyrexpo India is ideal,” says Rajiv Budhraja of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association. “It will provide a platform for domestic tire manufacturers and suppliers to promote their products and services to international buyers from across the world.”

Among the companies already committed to Tyrexpo India 2011 are Indian OTR specialist Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT), Elgi Rubber, Rubberking, Sundaram Industries, Omni United, Unipatch, Steinbichler, Koba Banden and Malhotra Rubbers.
