Reifen China shows jump in attendance

Dec. 13, 2010

The fourth Reifen China, which took place in the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center on November 25 – 27, was a big success with 9,356 trade visitors from 75 countries, show organizers say.

That is an increase in visitors of more than 30% over last year’s numbers. A total of 114 exhibitors, including numerous major manufacturers from China and 14 other countries, presented their products and services for everything to do with tires, wheels and repair garages.

The participation of foreign companies grew not only on the exhibitor side, but also on the visitor side.

The show organizers, Messe Essen and China United Rubber Corp., as well as the main sponsor, BRV Bundesverband Reifenhandel und Vulkaniseur-Handwerk e. V. ("Federal Association of the Tyre Trade and the Vulcanisers' Skilled Trade"), reported that they were very satisfied with the outcome of the trade fair.

A large number of companies have already confirmed that they will participate in the fair once again in 2011. “REIFEN CHINA has become established as a significant platform for the business with tires, wheels and garages from the entire Asian region,’” say show organizers.

Rubber Tech China took place parallel to Reifen China. The trade fair for rubber processing and rubber manufacture also registered growth in 2010. The Rubber Business Meeting, a successfully staged trade conference for suppliers, specialized traders and people setting up new businesses, was held for the first time this year.

Reifen China paves the way to new sales markets and simultaneously consolidates the position of the premier fair Reifen Essen, which will take place at Messe Essen on June 5 - 8, 2012, organizers note.
