Galaxy Tire & Wheel Inc. has hired Mike Foxhoven, formerly of Hercules Tire & Rubber Co., to be its new national sales manager for aftermarket sales.
Foxhoven will start in the newly created position on Monday, Dec. 2.
In January, he will be temporarily assigned to Galaxy's Hayward, Calif., office, where he will "concentrate on increasing Galaxy's West Coast presence by strengthening (the company's) relationship with its existing customer base, signing new dealers, and expanding sales and distribution in areas where Galaxy is not now well-represented," according to an official statement from Galaxy.
Foxhoven then will relocate to Galaxy's main office in Malden, Mass.
A 30-year tire industry veteran, Foxhoven most recently worked for Hercules as its national sales director.
Prior to joining Hercules in 1995, he had held a variety of positions with Bridgestone/Firestone Inc., General Tire & Rubber Co. and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
