ASA names Coast Tire its 2010 Dealer of the Year

Coast Tire & Auto Service has received ASA Tire Systems' 2010 Dealer of the Year award.

The award gives special recognition "to a customer that has proven to be a strong partner by embracing technology and innovation, and assisting ASA in driving the development of its software solutions forward," ASA reports.

Coast Tire & Auto Service, based in New Brunswick, Canada, operates more than 25 locations in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Ron Outerbridge, president and CEO of Coast Tire, accepted the award at ASA’s annual InfoExpo user conference.

Eastern Regional Sales Director Dean Rascoe calls Coast Tire a consistent early adopter of technology. “They were one of the first dealers to implement ASA’s Business Intelligence solution and use handheld devices to manage inventory with barcoding ability. They also implemented the Goodyear Interface in Canada, and now they’re using TreadX to improve point-of-sale operations.”

When presenting the award to Ron Outerbridge, Rascoe also noted Coast Tire’s creative use of customer data to grow sales through business booster activity, their support of numerous charities, and their involvement with ASA’s customer advisory council for guiding product development.
