Baby steps not enough for Global Tire Expo

Oct. 21, 2010

The Global Tire Expo powered by the Tire Industry Association (TIA) is getting ready to hold its convention and trade show in Las Vegas. The exposition is part of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

Executives from both organizations met in Akron, Ohio, after last year's show to discuss ways to make it better (see "SEMA, TIA promote 'spirit of cooperation'). At the very least, there has been improved communication between not only the organizations, but also the organizations and tire manufacturers.

Those are only the first steps, says Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich in his latest video blog. Now it's up to SEMA and TIA to follow through. And keep walking forward.
