Order Reprints

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. plans to invest $120 million in its Dalian, China, tire manufacturing facility.

The investment will nearly triple the factory's current annual capacity of 1.9 million tires to more than 5.3 million tires.

Goodyear supplies Chinese-made high performance tires to several auto manufacturers like Volkswagon, Audi, General Motors and Citroen.

"Goodyear is well-poised to continue its growth in the China market, which is clearly destined to be one of the world's biggest long-term business opportunities," says Hugh Pace, President, Goodyear Asia.
