ESCO has introduced a new Skirt Nut Model 40125 for hub-piloted wheels. It centers the tire/wheel combination onto the wheel and prevents "clocking."
According to ESCO officials, clocking is the "number one cause of loose wheels that can result in catastrophic wheel-offs. The Skirt Nut is the only flange nut in the market that meets and exceeds Standard SAE J1965."
The product's design features extended threading. It is coated in a graphite-based sealant and will not rust onto the wheel. "One part number fits all 22 mm hub-piloted applications."
