Bar’s Products' new Leaks Carbon Fiber Block Seal Head Gasket & Cooling Sealant is a strong antifreeze-compatible cooling system repair that fixes even hard-to-stop cooling system leaks, the company says. 

It can be used to repair blown head gaskets; seal intake gasket leaks; permanently seal any coolant leaks in plastic, cast iron, copper and aluminum radiators, heater cores, freeze plugs, gaskets and intake manifolds; and repair cracked cylinder heads and engine blocks.

It also protects against future leaks and reduces coolant temperature and prevents overheating.

Bar’s Leaks Head Gasket & Cooling Sealant’s formula combines an antifreeze-compatible liquid glass (sodium silicate) with aramid and refractory fibers: the same super-strong, heat-resistant materials used in bulletproof vests and fireproof clothing. The formula is further reinforced with carbon fiber to bridge larger leaks and create a truly permanent seal that is stronger than the original head gasket itself.

Bar’s Leaks Head Gasket & Cooling Sealant also features the proprietary wetting agent Xtreme Cool. Xtreme Cool reduces the surface tension of coolant — which increases its wetting ability — as well as improves heat transfer and reduces coolant temperature. As a result, Xtreme Cool helps prevent future leaks and overheating.

There is no need to flush the cooling system before installing Bar’s Leaks Head Gasket & Cooling Sealant. It is added directly to the (cold) radiator. The vehicle is ready to drive less than an hour after installation. Bar’s Leaks Head Gasket & Cooling Sealant is compatible with all types of antifreeze, including conventional green or blue (silicate-based) and extended life red/orange or yellow (OAT/HOAT). For racing applications, it works in straight water.
