Michelin raises prices

Michelin North America (MNA) Inc. will hike Michelin, BFGoodrich and Uniroyal brand passenger and light truck tire prices in the United States by up to 6%, effective March 1, 2002.

The price increase also includes MNA's private brand products.

The announcement comes on the heels of price increases reported yesterday by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and last week by Bridgestone/Firestone Americas Holding Inc.
