Titan signs sales deal with farm tractor giant

Dec. 3, 2001

Titan Tire Corp. will sell its complete line of tires and wheels through North American Case, Case IH and New Holland farm equipment dealerships.

North American Case, Case IH and New Holland are owned by CNH, the second largest farm equipment manufacturer in North America.

The outlets will sell Titan brand products initially, says a Titan spokesperson.

Titan may eventually make private brand tires for CNH.

"Titan's growth goal is to grain greater market share by enlisting equipment dealers to offer the Titan product line," officials from the Quincy, Ill.-based tiremaker said in a recent statement.

"Attaining this goal could mean an additional $100 million of business for Titan over the next few years."

The CNH deal marks Titan's first venture in selling directly to equipment dealers; it is planning to forge similar agreements with other farm equipment suppliers.
