Winner Hemric wore a triumphant grin and said, “Everyone of us was making history here; this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I’m just glad that I was able to bring home the win for the locals and keep the money here in Charlotte.”

The special three-day event, run from Thursday through Saturday, marked an exciting and action-packed format with a variety of fan-friendly activities. Nearly 300 drivers from more than 36 states and two foreign countries registered for this one-of-a-kind race featuring a total purse of $1 million, including some of the best Legend Car drivers in the world. Heavy rain and thunderstorms moved through the speedway area early in the evening, affecting some of the racing action, but moved out quickly enough for the Legends Million A-feature drivers to compete on a dry racing surface.

Jamie Ma, CEO of Federal Corp., presented awards to the winners and noted, “Federal was pleased to introduce the 595 competition tire to the U.S. Legend Cars for the first time of the 2010 season.
