Is a re-marriage in the works for Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. (BFS) and Ford Motor Co.?
Executives from Bridgestone Corp., the parent company of BFS, and Ford met last weekend in Honolulu, Hawaii. Although a BFS spokesman did confirm Bridgestone CEO Shigeo Watanabe and Ford COO Nick Scheele got together, he was not at liberty to reveal the nature of their meeting.
However, there will be another meeting. And the spokesman said the parties have agreed to invite a BFS executive to attend.
