The new Michelin Super Sport tire will be original equipment on the special edition, limited run Ferrari 599 GTO. Only 599 units of the car will be manufactured.
Michelin officials say the tiremaker and Ferrari co-developed the tire "in a record time of just 18 months."
The extra-wide tire comes in two sizes: 285/30ZR20 for the front and 315/35ZR20 for the rear. Michelin says the tire has been designed to reduce unsprung weight.
