First Tyrexpo India exhibition to be held in 2011

June 21, 2010

Balkrishna Tyres (BKT), Elgi Rubber and Omni United have become the first major companies to commit to supporting the inaugural staging of Tyrexpo India, which will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre next year.

The exhibition will take place July 5-7, 2011, and "is being held in recognition of India’s fast-growing importance and influence in the global tire, rubber and equipment market," say show representatives.

Paul Farrant, managing director for show organizer ECI International, says, “We welcome BKT, Elgi and Omni as the first major exhibitors at this brand new exhibition. Each of these companies have supported our other international exhibitions and we are naturally delighted that they have now thrown their weight behind this new show held in India.

“We are talking to many other Indian and international suppliers in the tire, rubber, retreading, equipment and accessories markets about the show and have been very pleased at the high level of interest shown and bookings to date,” he adds.

Next year’s exhibition will be based on the successful model of international tire and equipment events organized by ECI International in Singapore, Johannesburg and Manchester, UK.

“We know there is enormous interest in doing business in India and we hope that Tyrexpo India will become the focal point for a truly international trade exhibition. Our events are structured to bring together suppliers, distributors and buyers in a professional atmosphere where they can talk and conduct business,” says Farrant.
