Continental Tire the Americas LLC has launched a new RV section on its commercial tire Web site. The section contains information on available products, plus an RV manual.
"We decided to no longer keep our tires the ‘best kept secret’ in RVing -- and to go ahead and put our product listings out on the Web for tire-savvy consumers,” says Clif Armstrong, director of marketing for commercial tires.
The new RV section organizes Continental tire offerings for larger RVs by their application: 1) primarily on highway, and 2) mixed on/off highway use. The recently introduced HSL1 Coach tire, which includes fuel efficient compounding for primarily on-highway use, is one example.
Continental’s field engineers and warranty experts developed the RV manual, which can be printed from the site. The manual includes information about RV loading practices, tire inflation tables, understanding RV weights and common tire wear conditions.
