TIA Hall of Fame balloting is open

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is accepting nominations for its 2010 Hall of Fame class through July 1. Hall of Fame inductions will take place Nov. 1 during the Global Tire Expo - Powered by TIA/Specialty Equipment Market Association Show.

The Hall of Fame is open to tire dealers, retreaders, inventors, manufacturers, association executives, equipment suppliers, and tire/rubber recyclers.

Inductees are chosen based on the following criteria: contribution of new ideas, practices and/or innovations that promote the well-being of the tire industry; exemplary, distinguished service to the tire industry; and the respect of their peers. Civic, cultural, charitable and educational contributions also are considered.
