Bridgestone opens training center in Tokyo

April 29, 2010

Bridgestone Corp. opened its Global Manufacturing Education Center in Tokyo, Japan, earlier this week.

The center is housed inside the company's G-MEC building. G-MEC was established in 2007 to train employees involved in all areas of manufacturing, including tires and diversified products.

"G-MEC is responsible for developing a wide variety of training programs and educating instructors," say Bridgestone officials. Instructors who have completed training at G-MEC "train employees involved in manufacturing at their own respective plants around the world."
