Hogan, Koles join NETSA Hall of Fame

April 19, 2010

The New England Tire & Service Association (NETSA) honored two of its own, Ed Hogan and Tony Koles, during the group's annual convention and trade show, held this past weekend in Uncasville, Conn.

Hogan, the owner of Woburn, Mass.-based Hogan Tire Co., and Koles, president of Montvale Tire Co. in Melrose, Mass., were inducted into NETSA's Hall of Fame.

Roy Armes, chairman, CEO and president of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., also spoke during the event. NETSA Executive Director Dick Cole says Armes expressed his "optimism about future tire sales because of pent-up demand" and other factors.

Many dealers who attended the event reported that "their sales have been fairly strong, especially those who are doing auto service work," Cole adds. "Most of them said they are very encouraged."

The trade show "was just about sold out" with 92 exhibitors. The event was held at the Mohegan Sun Casino.
