Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack added five Service & Tire Centers during its fiscal fourth quarter and plans to open more, Pep Boys CEO Mike Odell told investors earlier today, April 8, during a conference call.
Pep Boys now has 24 Service & Tire Center locations. While the Philadelphia, Pa.-based chain remains on the look-out for more outlets, "we will be selective and opportunistic as we look for the right fit at the right time," Odell said.
During the conference, he mentioned that the 10 Florida Tire locations that Pep Boys acquired in October 2009 have been fully converted to the Pep Boys Service & Tire Centers format. The stores are located in the Orlando, Fla., area.
