Kumho debuts eco Solus HM

March 10, 2010

Kumho Tire Co.'s eco-friendly touring tire, the eco Solus HM, is formulated to be less impactful on the environment while delivering top performance, the company says. It is the first offering in a series of eco-friendly products from the company.

Utilizing the Kumho’s latest rubber compounding technology, the eco Solus HM delivers optimum traction, ride comfort and long tread wear (the HM in the name stands for high mileage).

“Being earth-friendly no longer requires sacrifices in tire performance,” says Rick Brennan, Kumho Tire U.S.A.’s vice president of marketing. “Past technology required giving up traction to be less impactful to our environment." However, Kumho has changed that requirement with the eco Solus HM by combining high anti-abrasion rubber technology with eco-friendly processing oils. The result is true all-season traction, the highest tread wear grade available in the industry and earth-friendly materials, the company states.

The all-season eco Solus HM is available in 23 T-speed-rated sizes for small sedans through minivans.
