Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. has added a crossover vehicle tire, the Versado CUV, to its Versado luxury tire line. The tire is available in 25 sizes, ranging from 17 inches to 20 inches in diameter.
"Designed specifically for the growing (crossover) vehicle segment, the Versado CUV carries on a tradition of comfortable and quiet operation while being loaded with advanced features to enhance handling, stability and fuel efficiency," say Toyo officials.
The Versado CUV contains Toyo's proprietary Silent Wall technology, which utilizes thousands of vertical serrations along the walls of the circumferential tread grooves to reduce "pipe resonance, an annoying whistling audible to the human ear."
Other features include a new, low rolling resistance compound to improve fuel efficiency; an asymmetric, non-directional tread; multi-wave sipes for a smooth, quiet ride; and more.
"A computer-optimized casing and a large block and rib design deliver an improved distribution of tread pressure to the road surface for enhanced handling and stability. Four wide circumferential grooves evacuate water whole open lateral slits improve water drainage."
