O.K. Tire Stores announces key management changes

O.K. Tire Stores Inc. has named Ken MacLeod its new CEO; he will report directly to the Langley, British Columbia-based tire distribution group's board of directors.

MacLeod most recently served as O.K.'s senior vice president.

O.K. President Don Blythe will remain in that position and will act as MacLeod's key consultant until his scheduled retirement in March 2003.

In other top management shuffles, Nelson Gray, vice president of purchasing and logistics, has been promoted to senior vice president of purchasing, export and development; Larry Hardy, regional manager of sales in Eastern Canada, has been promoted to director of sales and franchise development for that region, which includes Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes; and Wayne Barnes, franchise representative for Alberta and Saskatchewan, has been promoted to regional manager of sales and development in Western Canada.

O.K. Tire Stores Inc. is the 7th largest tire distribution network in North America with 215 franchises throughout Canada and more than $250 million in annual retail sales, according to Modern Tire Dealer data. It sells Bridgestone, Denman, Dunlop, Firestone, Kelly, Kumho, Toyo, Nankang, Marshal and Republic brand tires.
