Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC's (BATO) consumer tire manufacturing plant in Wilson, N.C., recently marked one million man-hours without a lost time accident.
"This is a significant achievement that illustrates how seriously our teammates are committed to safety," says Bob Walker, vice president of health, safety and industrial hygiene, Bridgestone Americas.
Wilson is the eighth Bridgestone Americas' facility to surpass the one million hour milestone in 2009. The factory employs more than 1,800 people.
