Cooper plans no more claims against Apollo

Dec. 24, 2014

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. says it is “pleased” its legal battle with Apollo Tyres Ltd. is over. The Delaware Chancery Court dismissed Cooper’s lawsuit against Apollo last week.

Cooper also says it plans no further claims against Apollo. The company told Modern Tire Dealer:

“Cooper and Apollo agreed to dismiss all remaining claims related to their 2013 merger agreement. Neither company will pursue any further claims against the other related to the former merger agreement. Cooper is pleased to have this litigation behind us as we continue to move forward with a focus on our customers and growing our business around the world.”

Cooper pursued damages against Apollo following its decision to terminate the two companies’ merger agreement in Dec. 2013.
