RNR raises funds for local SPCA

Nov. 26, 2014

RNR Custom Wheels and Tire Express of Hampton, Va., recently raised $7,000 for the Peninsula Society to Prevent Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), a no-kill facility that houses animals waiting to be adopted.

RNR was the exclusive sponsor of the fund raiser which was held at a popular country-western bar. The event had been promoted by a local country-music radio station and featured popular DJ Bobby Bones of Nashville, Tenn. Bones performed with his band, The Raging Idiots, to a sold-out crowd of 800 people.

RNR was featured both inside and outside of the event with a display booth, banners and show trucks. "It was great to see RNR promoted at the event, but we were just so happy to be able to support the Peninsula SPCA in our local community," says Ron Russell, RNR operator. "The SPCA does important work in our community, and we are grateful to be able to help them continue. Working with Bobby Bones is a thrill, as well, and the event was just a great way to spend a Saturday night, giving back and having a blast.”
