SEMA Show, Day Three: Mighty has branded app for retailers

Mighty Distributing System of America Inc. unveiled a customizable smart phone app for tire retailers at the 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Show (SEMA).

The product enables retailers to offer their own branded app through the Apple Apps Store or Google Play Store to their customers, says Gary Vann, senior vice president of sales and marketing.

The app tracks vehicle maintenance for the consumer and generates a report of all repairs, which is useful for warranty purposes or when a vehicle is being sold.

In addition to keeping service history by service type, the app allows dealers to send service reminders, coupons and maintenance tips to customers. The dealer's customers can also use the app to schedule service appointments.

“The app is branded with the retailer’s logo and identification so it is truly the retailer’s app,” says Vann.

He says Mighty is the first automotive aftermarket supplier to provide a customizable app with this level of sophistication for retail customers.
