For the second straight year, Pirelli & C. SpA is the only tire company in the Global Compact 100 sustainability index. The stock index was launched in 2013 by the UN Global Compact in partnership with Sustainalytics
Pirelli says the Global Compact 100 index is composed of 100 companies chosen on the basis of their alignment with the ten principles that guide the UN Global Compact, their management’s commitment to sustainability issues and their level of profitability.
The Global Compact 100 companies recorded a stock market return 21.8% higher than the S&P global mid and large-cap index over the year.
