Andreoli & Associates Inc. (A&A) has added toolbar navigation to its HITS BPOS point-of-sale software. The developer of cloud-based shop management software for the tire and auto service industry says the new toolbar supplements the regular pull-down menu.
“We built the toolbar to cut down on the steps needed to move between frequently used functions,” says Mike Andreoli, president. “The result is that the most commonly performed operations are now just one-click away.”
Don Rutherford, wholesale sales and IT manager for six-location Alyeska Tire and Auto in Alaska, assisted in beta testing, “The toolbar definitely makes it easier and faster to use the software. Our guys really like it.”
Andreoli says, “The toolbar is fully customizable for each of the primary menus. Once configured, a user’s customized toolbar will follow him to any workstation.”
In addition to icons for regular functions, users can add icons for a number of integrations including CARFAX, Epicor ISE, ATD, TCi, TMPSManager, and others. More integrations are planned and will be accessible via the respective vendors’ icons.
Rutherford of Alyeska adds, “We really like that the software is cloud-based because we do not have to load any updates ourselves, like the new toolbar enhancement. They (Andreoli) load several updates a year during off business hours, so it saves us a lot of headaches.”
