Michelin Tests Tires on All-Electric Delivery Truck

Michelin North America Inc. is testing commercial truck tires on an all-electric Class 8 delivery truck provided by Benore Logistics Systems.

The month-long test is taking place at Michelin's plant in Sandy Springs, S.C.

It's designed "to further validate the capabilities of electric vehicles in the last-mile delivery industry, while advancing Michelin's environmental sustainability efforts," according to Michelin officials.

"Electric vehicles are a 'zero-emission' solution, which means electromobility - which is critical to advancing the energy transition - goes hand in hand with reducing oil consumption and spurring growth in renewable energies," notes Karen Schwartz, vice president of B2B marketing, Michelin North America.
