Yokohama Off-Highway Expands Alliance Line

June 21, 2022

Yokohama Off-Highway Tires America Inc. has introduced a new flotation tire, the Alliance 590, for ag and construction applications.

The product features three layers of steel belts under a cut-resistant tread compound for extra protection.

The belts "enable the tire to maintain a flat, even footprint for improved grip and lower rolling resistance," says Blaine Cox, national product manager - agriculture, golf and turf, for Yokohama Off-Highway.

The tire's non-directional tread pattern sports heavy, deep blocks with open channels that enhance grip and provide optimal self-cleaning.

"The edges of the outer blocks form deep, aggressive shoulders for extra traction," says Cox. "That provides added performance in soft ground for agricultural applications, while still allowing the Alliance 590 to provide a smooth, steady tow on pavement and harder soils. The Alliance 590 also features a new cut and chip compound that's great for roading."

The tire is particularly well-suited for construction applications, says Dhananjay Bisht, national product manager, OTR products, for Yokohama Off-Highway.

"Tanks and trailers can encounter such a wide range of surfaces and conditions on construction projects, so the Alliance 590 is a great tire for ensuring that rolling equipment is fitted for great performance and durability wherever it goes."

Capable of speeds up to 40 miles per hour, the tire also can be operated at lower inflation levels to minimize soil compaction. It's available in the following sizes: 560/60R22.5, 600/55R26.5, 650/55R26.5, 650/60R26.5, 600/60R30.5, 650/65R20.5, 710/50R30.5 and 750/60R30.5.
