Titan International Inc. is preparing for Farm Progress 2023, and one element includes partnering with Big Equipment Company to bring a 2023 Big Bud 700 to the Titan booth. The company is building new Big Bud tractors again for the first time in 40 years.
“It’s not uncommon for our old Big Buds to run strong for decades, even into the 40,000-hour mark,” said Ron Harmon, owner of Big Equipment Company. “We wanted to duplicate that again by making everything easily accessible, with common parts and no restrictions on the owner in terms of repairs. But we also wanted to make it heavier duty than anything we’ve made before.”
The tractor was built with those principles in mind — easy and accessible repairability by the owner, with a heavy-duty frame and components.
The Big Bud 700 is available with multiple Low Sidewall Technology (LSW) configuration options, including dual or single Goodyear Optitorque LSW710/65R46 R-1 tires, ideal for scraper applications, all the way up to the world’s largest farm tire — the Goodyear Optitrac LSW1400/30R46 R-1W.
Harmon will be in the Titan booth throughout the show, and will hold a meet-and-greet at 1p.m. on Aug. 30.
For those who purchase a Big Bud T-shirt in the booth, full proceeds of the sale will benefit the Indiana/Illinois FFA.
Titan also will host events with influencers in the farming industry, and showcase their equipment.
The list includes:
- Welker Farms and their Big Brute custom sprayer made to replicate the look of a series 3 Big Bud tractor.
- Brian Brown of Brian's Farming Videos, who will showcase his Fendt 1038 with Goodyear Optitrac LSW1400/30R46 and LSW1000/45R32.
- Cole the Cornstar will have his Case Magnum 340 with Goodyear Optitrac LSW1400/30R46 tires.
- Farm Fit Training and FarmFitMomma Amanda Nigg will host activities and challenges in the booth that are family-friendly.
