Ascenso Tires North America has unveiled a new range of very-high flexion (VF) tires, including a tractor tire, sprayer tires and an implement tire.
The tractor tire that's part of the line is the VDR2000. The tires for self-propelled sprayer applications are the VDR900 and VDR901. And the implement tire is the VIR2500.
“Providing excellent traction, improved roadability, high load carrying capacity and better soil protection, the architecture of the V-range is supported by Ascenso’s new generation VF technology, which meets the standard VF definition of 40% more load than a standard radial tire - or the same load at 40% less pressure,” say Ascenso officials.
“The introduction of the V-range reflects the changing expectations that farmers have of their tyres,” says Dhaval Nanavati, CEO of Ascenso Tyres. “They’ve always demanded a lot – load capacity, traction, transition between field and road use without compromise, exceptional wear and durability – but these days there is added expectation around factors such as fuel efficiency, soil health and changing tillage practices, aspects directly addressed by this new generation VF technology.”
The new tires are available in a wide range of sizes - “50, across all types,” say Ascenso officials - with 13 more sizes to be added in the next three months.
