Sailun Rolls Out SDM80 Truck Tire

The new SDM80 medium truck tire from Sailun Tire Americas (STA) has been designed for high-scrub mixed service applications.

“Designed with durability and performance in mind, the SDM80 provides exceptional resistance to wear and tear in severe service environments such as heavy construction, dump trucks, ready-mix trucks and waste trucks,” say STA officials.

"The SDM80 features a robust, stabilized shoulder and tread block design that minimizes scrub wear, ensuring the tire can withstand operations with excessive twisting and turning. Coupled with stone protectors at the base of the tread void, the SDM80 reduces stone damage, ultimately extending casing life and improving retreadability. This tire is built to perform on both highway and mixed road surfaces, delivering reliable traction and superior service in even the harshest conditions."

Other features include a stabilized tread design to minimize scrub wear and optimize longevity; an open shoulder that “offers superior traction in all weather and road conditions, ensuring optimal performance on and off the road;” stone protectors for extended casing life and enhancement of retreadability; wide tread footprint and solid lugs to help ensure even wear distribution and extra durability; and more.
