Continental Adds Size to Tires

Continental Tire the Americas LLC has added size 245/70R19.5 to its HDR 5 and HSR 5 19.5-inch tires.

The addition "is designed to meet the needs of urban and regional fleets operating in high-scrub environments, where dependable performance in stop and go conditions is essential," say Continental officials.

The tires also feature key enhancements, including an updated tread compound that provides improvements in rolling resistance and mileage; a redesigned sidewall to better support multiple retread cycles and withstand high-scrub environments; and more.

They also are EV-compatible and are designated "with an EV checkmark that means (the tires) meet the special requirements of EV/hybrid vehicles, as well as those of" combustion engine-powered trucks.
