Titan, Cerebrum Launch Tire Sensor Technology

Titan International Inc., in collaboration with Cerebrum Sensor Technologies Inc., recently announced the development of Titan Pressure Perfect (P2), "a pioneering advancement in tire smart sensor technology," according to Titan officials.

"Titan Pressure Perfect (P2) represents a huge leap forward in agricultural tire intelligence."

The system provides real-time pressure and temperature monitoring and load sensing.

"This new technology enables seamless integration with onboard inflation control, allowing automatic tire pressure adjustment while in motion."

Titan officials say Titan Pressure Perfect technology "can reduce air pressure by up to 50%, deliver up to 35% less soil compaction and could result in a 4% to 6% increase in corn yields.

"Titan’s P2 system, powered by Cerebrum, is designed to work with every Titan and Goodyear Farm Tire-branded product and nearly all inflation management systems," according to officials.

The companies say the technology "enhances machine productivity and tire longevity, but also supports sustainable farming practices by minimizing ground disturbance."

Titan and Cerebrum are also launching a new smart tire technology category called Intelligent Tire Solutions (iTS).

“This is the first system of its kind that delivers dynamic inflation management," says Scott Sloan, global ag and LSW product manager, Titan.

"Load, tire pressure and temperature data are gathered by a single tire-mounted sensor and integrated with tire-industry load-inflation tables in real time. Imagine bringing together central tire inflation system (CTIS) and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) technologies and now they can work together and talk to each other - all without operator intervention.”
