BKT Unveils New Corporate 'Architecture'
Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) says it's "more explicity" emphasizing "its corporate identity, embodying two business areas of work:" BKT Tires and BKT Carbon.
The company's new structure "highlights BKT’s areas of industrial specialization, thus introducing a new brand framework that makes the business architecture immediately recognizable," say BKT officials.
"In the B2B segment, BKT Tires includes the offering dedicated to professional and industrial sectors, including agricultural tires, OTR and mining, industrial and port handling, earthmoving and commercial vehicle tires, as well as ATV and lawn and garden lines intended for operational and professional applications."
The B2C segment of BKT Tires, "where the company has recently announced its entry as part of its 2030 growth strategy ... includes solutions for individual mobility with tires for two-wheelers, i.e., motorcycles and scooters, and progressively for the passenger car segment, marking the group's entry and consolidation in strategic consumer areas.
"This architecture reflects BKT’s ability to operate with the same technological and manufacturing strength in both the most complex industrial applications and personal mobility, while maintaining one industrial matrix and the same quality standards," say BKT officials.
"In parallel, the identity of BKT Carbon, a business dedicated to the production of carbon black for multiple industrial applications, is consolidated. In addition to constituting a pillar of the group's integrated supply chain, BKT Carbon operates as an autonomous industrial entity with its own strategic relevance and presence in various sectors that employ carbon black as a key raw material. This way, BKT formally recognizes the plurality of its industrial competencies, while maintaining a unified and coherent vision.
"The new architecture clearly distinguishes the corporate dimension from the business areas, without fragmenting the group's overall identity. On one side, an institutional brand that expresses vision, governance, and responsibility ... on the other, business units that represent specialization, technology and manufacturing capability in different but complementary areas."
"In recent years, our group has reached such a scale and complexity that a more structured representation is required at the brand level," says Rajiv Poddar, BKT's joint managing director. "BKT Tires brings immediate recognition of our leadership in the tire sector, while BKT Carbon highlights strategic industrial competency that extends beyond our historical core business. This evolution aligns the brand system with the reality of our growth."
"This evolution is a fundamental step for our development in the consumer segment," says Satish Sharma, senior president and director, business development and strategy, BKT. "With BKT Tires we can address the B2C market in a more direct and recognizable way, highlighting our technical competencies also in the two-wheeler and passenger segments. It is a step that strengthens our presence with the end consumer and supports our growth strategy in mobility markets."
