Yokohama Tire Corp. has announced its new 116R regional all-position steer tire.
The new tire is made at Yokohama’s plant in Mississippi and is available in three sizes: 11R22.5, 295/75R22.5 and 11R24.5 with a seven-year unlimited retread casing warranty.
“The 116R has fleets covered,” says Tom Clauer, senior manager of commercial product planning at Yokohama.
“It’s engineered to bring long tread life and durability to regional fleet operations and superior fuel efficiency for super regional activity.”
According to Yokohama officials, benefits of the 116R include durable construction from solid shoulder ribs, mulit-siped rib edges to fight river wear and deep siping for long-lasting traction, high center ribs and an advanced compound produced rolling resistance.
