OTR Tire Veteran Tim Good Dies
Tim Good, former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and Maxam Tire North America executive, recently died at the age of 71.
Born to Lyle and Rhoda Butler Good in Madison, Wis., Tim met his wife, Mary, in high school "and had four kids who he was very proud of," according to his obituary.
He enjoyed a 40-year tire industry career, holding a variety of executive positions in the OTR tire segment.
"Family was the most important thing to Tim. His favorite times were driving the boat for the grandkids to tube, watching them play sports and he especially loved the entire family gathering under one roof during the holidays. Tim had many passions in his life, including fishing, golfing, sailing, water and snow skiing, which he enjoyed sharing with his grandchildren."
Preceded by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Brian (Alecia) Good, Matthew (Rene') Good, Melissa (Josh) Willets and David (Qinghua) Good; and many grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Mary’s Chapel United Methodist Church; 410 Mary’s Chapel Rd.; Bean Station, Tenn., on April 25 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Services will be held at 3:00 pm, also at Mary’s Chapel, with reception following.
