Titan Enters Track Market
Titan International Inc. is adding Titan Rubber Tracks to its portfolio, "a move long-anticipated by customers."
Developed specifically for compact track loaders and mini excavators, Titan Rubber Tracks is a new product category for the company.
"Our customers have been asking for Titan to enter this space, but we needed to make sure our tracks are as tough as our tires,” says Travis Little, general manager, ag, construction and industrial, Titan.
"We’ve combined our rubber and engineering expertise to develop a rubber track option that meets our standards and works for our customers."
According to Titan officials. tracked equipment "continues to play an increasingly important role across construction, rental equipment and related applications. Titan’s entry into the rubber track market reflects a deliberate approach to product development."
"We could have entered the rubber track market sooner, but we wanted to take the time to launch a product worthy of the Titan name,” says Little. “By working with our rubber compounding and engineering teams, we focused on providing a track designed for long-term performance and we’re confident this is the product our customers have been looking for.”
"Rather than relying on standard rubber formulations, Titan is offering a premium rubber compound specifically for these tracks," note Titan officials. "Internal testing and field evaluation focused on durability and consistency across a wide range of operating conditions, helping ensure reliable performance over the life of the track.
"Field trials conducted across multiple regions and machine platforms have generated positive feedback from experienced track users, while also accumulating extensive hours to validate the performance and longevity of these applications."
"Across all field tests, we have no reports of carcass delamination, guide separation or structural failure, even beyond the above-average expected hours in multiple cases,” says Chris Smith, product engineer, agriculture, construction and industrial, Titan. “Testing was also conducted at blue-chip OEM manufacturers, where Titan Rubber Tracks exceeded testing requirements on internal durability and high-stress conditions testing.”
