Maxam Adds MS963R RowXtra Implement Tire

Maxam Tire has added the MS963R RowXtra, a VF radial implement tire designed to provide flotation, durability and reduced soil disturbance.

The steel-belted tire is designed for balers, hay mergers, seeders and other agricultural implements used for planting, plowing, ripping and similar applications.

Maxam says the MS963R RowXtra combines flexible sidewalls with a steel-belt construction to improve casing durability and cut resistance while handling heavier loads. The tire also uses a stubble-resistant compound designed to extend service life in a variety of field conditions.

The MS963R incorporates VF technology, which enables the tire to carry up to 40% more load at standard inflation pressures or operate at up to 40% lower inflation pressure while carrying the same load, according to Maxam.

The lower-pressure capability is designed to help reduce soil compaction and preserve soil structure. A ribbed tread pattern provides consistent ground contact while helping reduce rolling resistance, according to Maxam.

“As farming equipment continues to evolve for improved productivity, farmers and growers look for VF tire solutions that handle heavier loads while operating at high speeds and minimizing the impact on their fields,” said Greg Gilland, vice president of agriculture at Maxam Tire.

“The MS963R RowXtra reflects our commitment to meeting the needs of today’s farmers with innovative products that improve productivity, minimize soil compaction and deliver the long-lasting performance that our customers have come to expect from MAXAM.”

The MS963R RowXtra is available in multiple VF sizes, with additional sizes planned as Maxam expands the line.
