Tire Industry Association (TIA) board members elected Peggy Fisher to be the group's new secretary this past weekend.
The decision puts Fisher in line to become TIA's president in four years.
Thirty board members voted in the election, which included five candidates.
TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield says the association will send out board election ballots within the next couple of weeks.
Results of that election will be announced this November.
