Pathway Polymers recycling systems win award

March 12, 2009

Pathway Polymers reports the company’s TyrFil Recycling Systems were named "Attendees’ Choice for the Most Innovative Product" at the 2009 World of Concrete convention recently held in Las Vegas.

The concrete industry’s largest annual public exhibit delivered another strong event in 2009 with 65,287 registered professionals veiwing products showcased in 880,000 net square feet of exhibit space.

““We were expecting a positive response from the show’s attendees who were interested in learning more about the green technology that we’ve been aggressively promoting,” says A.J. Davidson, marketing director for Pathway Polymer.  "Receiving such a distinguished award from a trade show of this magnitude reinforces our belief that we are on the right track in meeting our customers’ expectations in today’s eco-conscious global economy.”

Pathway’s TyrFil Recycling Systems consist of two separate pieces of equipment strategically engineered to target the two major markets within the tire flat-proofing industry: aftermarket commercial tire dealers and original equipment manufacturers.

For the aftermarket commercial tire dealer, the AutoFil Recycler processes recycled poly-fill and mixes it with a small amount of virgin poly-fill to create a homogenous blended tire fill. Recycling poly-fill keeps it out of landfills while allowing commercial tire dealers to reduce their flat-proofing material costs by up to 65%.

For the original equipment manufacturer, the TrioFil Recycler processes rubber recycled from scrap pneumatic rubber tires and mixes it with virgin poly-fill to create a homogenous, blended tire fill. Recycling scrap pneumatic rubber tires keeps them out of landfills while allowing original equipment manufacturers to reduce their flat-proofing material costs by up to 35%, the company says.

Exhibitors from all over the world met and networked with qualified buyers at the 2009 World of Concrete convention while exchanging ideas on sustaining business, obtaining the education necessary to be up-to-date on new products and technologies, and learning new ways to run a smart and lean business during this challenging time for the construction sector, company officials note.
