Apollo wins radial farm tire fitment in India

Apollo Tyres Ltd.'s Farm King radial tractor tire has won a major original equipment fitment in India, according to Apollo officials.

The fitment is with Mahindra & Mahindra, which will use the tire on its Arjun line of tractors.

Even though radials still comprise a very small percentage of the Indian farm tire market, "this is the right time to make the shift to radial farm tires," says Satish Sharma, chief of Apollo's Indian operations.
