The first recipient of the “ASA Dealer of the Year” award is Becker Tire & Treading Inc. of Great Bend, Kan.
Wayne Croswell, president of ASA Tire Systems Inc., announced the award at the company's recent InfoExpo client conference in Newport Beach, Calif. Jeanie Radke of Becker Tire was on hand to accept the award.
“The (ASA) Bailout Program taught us that our clients have many phenomenal human and business interest stories, and we want to recognize them for their greatness," said Croswell. "The DOTY Award is another way that all of the ASA staff can recognize and thank our outstanding customers for their progressive thinking, their continued commitment to their employees, their communities and the industry, and their profitable use of ASA technology.”
ASA Dealer of the Year nominations were made by ASA account managers, and voted on by all ASA staffers in September. Each candidate was judged on successes in business, overcoming adversity, community relations, volunteer work, employee satisfaction, charity, technology adoption and overall good nature, among other criteria.
The top five candidates that best exemplified "the true partnership spirit with ASA" this year were:
* Becker Tire;
* Boulevard Tire Center, Deland, Fla.;
* Country Tire Service Center, Blair, Neb.;
* Express Tire Auto Service Centers, San Diego, Calif.; and
* Noyes Auto & Tire Service, Burlington, Vt.
More than 150 clients attended InfoExpo this year.
Croswell also emphasized that applications for its "tire dealer bailout program" are still being accepting, although the program is in its final months. For more information, see "ASA Tire Systems offers $1 million 'economic bailout' technology package."
